AGCO is seeking a Project Engineer located near our Assumption or Paris, IL facilities who will be a key part of the Solutions Delivery Team within the Engineering department. The Project Engineer will report to the Sr. Engineering Manager and will work across numerous functions (engineering, production, quality, purchasing, etc.) to execute large scale solutions projects that include fertilizer blend facilities, tower dryer construction, structures, and conveyance projects. This includes managing internal and external communications, creation of general arrangement drawings, facilitating customer approvals, and coordinating tasks across multiple teams. This is a hybrid position to our Assumption or Paris, IL facilities and you must live within commuting distance. This position is not eligible for relocation or sponsorship. 

Your Impact

• Coordinate with the customer to gather all needed requirements, clarify the design, and coordinate model review and approvals
• Define and manage project schedules and key milestone deliverables, including finding creative solutions to scheduling conflicts and delays
• Create and manage 3D site models and 2D general arrangement (GA) drawings as well as approval models and drawings
• Lead meetings and design reviews for project and also maintain action items and champion follow-up to ensure completion and project success
• Visit production sites to verify production status, facilitate schedule adjustments, and identify possible quality issues

Your Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Civil, Mechanical, or Agricultural Engineering preferred
• 3+ year of project management experience and 3+ years 2D and 3D CAD experience required; Creo preferred
• Ability to work independently on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills
• Agricultural background/experience

Your Workplace

This job operates in a variety of environments including some days in the office in Assumption or Paris, IL, some days on the production floor, and some days in the field. It’s also a hybrid model with some days working from home. Light travel up to 15% including potential for overnight and international travel. This position is not eligible for relocation or sponsorship.
