AGCO is seeking a talented, passionate, and highly motivated professional to join the purchasing team as a Regional Commodity Buyer to work a hybrid schedule to any of our 3 Illinois locations including Assumption, Taylorville or Paris. The Buyer will assist in driving the development and implementation of AGCO’s global commodity strategies resulting in best-in-class quality, delivery, and total cost of ownership. Additionally, the Buyer supports multiple Strategic and Global Commodity Managers through RFQ execution, negotiations, market analysis, strategy development, contract management as well as data gathering and analysis. The Buyer also supports the North America and Global team by identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives for both transactional and strategic purchasing.

Your Impact

•  Execution of Purchasing process to ensure supply availability and plant sustainability.
•  Identification and negotiation of cost reduction opportunities which contributes directly to RONA
•  Collaborate with the regional team to consolidate vendors and aggregate demand across multiple functional areas within AGCO.
•  Review process improvement opportunities with the regional team.

Your Experience and Qualifications

• Must have a strong personality and sense of independence
• Experience as a Buyer, Supply Chain Analyst, or another related commodity’s position managing, specifically in a manufacturing environment or with a manufacturing company.
• 2-5+ year experience in an SSC (Shared Service Center) environment
• Effective communicator with good interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with a diverse internal team, executive leadership and suppliers. Effectively and positively presents solutions in ambiguous or difficult situations.
• Understanding of multi-step strategic sourcing processes, e-commerce tools, consortium buys, offshoring, insourcing, outsourcing and/or implementation of large projects.
