Position is responsible for providing accurate reporting of Hesston financial transactions to the corporate office in Duluth, on-site financial support to Hesston plant management, and maintaining internal controls to ensure accurate financial reporting.

 

Your Impact

  • Develop and maintain internal controls at the Hesston site and ensure that all Hesston balance sheet accounts are accurately stated and properly supported at each month end.
  • Develop and maintain procedures to ensure the accurate reporting of production transactions including the utilization of raw materials, direct labor, and overhead compared to established standards.
  • Maintain the standard cost system to measure production efficiency, quantify variances, and measure production waste and losses.
  • Establish and maintain accurate production standards, including bills of material, direct labor standards, and throughput rates.
  • Serve as contact person at the Hesston plant for supplying information for production reports and assist in explaining variances and downtime.
  • Develop the plant-operating Budget on an annual basis, and Forecasts 3 times a year and on a monthly basis, provide analysis of plant operating results including analysis of variance compared to standards for variable production costs as well as compared to budget for fixed costs. Provide additional analysis and support to plant management or Duluth Finance as needed.

 

Your Experience and Qualifications

  • College Degree: BA/BS in Accounting/Finance from a four-year school.
  • Minimum 8 years of related experience.
  • Experience in SAP, FICO and ERP
  • Strong MS Excel skills
  • Interpersonal skills with cross functional leadership
