Job Summary


Reporting to the Director Supplier Cost and Tooling Engineering, you will focus on maintaining, developing data and system integration from cost engineering aspects. In this role you will have chance to participate in innovative application development, combining cost engineering and manufacturing core knowhow, large scale data analytics and economic factors. An opportunity to get in to the world of machine learning and artificial intelligence, to create value through accurate and fast should cost applications


This position is a remote one, so our future talent can be based in UK, Germany, Hungary, France, Finland or Italy.




This Is What You Can Expect


• Acts as system architect and admin for all the Global Cost Engineering tools, applications, databases and systems

• Support Supplier Cost Engineering should-cost projects by creating automated workflows in processes and data handling

• Create new cost engineering applications to support early development stage cost predictions for parts and tools

• Identify and automate saving opportunity creation applying large-scale data analytics

• Maintain and further develop global cost driver data for material, consumables, and energy with integration to other tools

• Continuously improve costing prediction by helping to develop improvements such as machine learning assisted tools

• Support Cost Engineering team by providing guidance, training, and expertise on applications

• Standardize and create global data strategy for used applications

• Lead cross-functional data integration projects to increase value for AGCO


This Is What You Will Contribute


• Fluent English (further European languages are a plus)

• Basics of Python and VBA programming or equivalent

• Basic database knowledge like SQL or equivalent

• Understanding of regression analysis methods

• Previous work experience in a data engineer-related role, preferably in a global environment

• Technical background or basic manufacturing process knowledge in the machinery industry field such as castings, forgings, machining, metal fab, plastics is a plus

•  1-3 Years of Business Experience Required (Relevant to Position) or skillset equivalent
