JOB SUMMARY

 

Engineering Protoshop Supervisor leads the EME Harvesting prototype assembly and parts fabrication on the Protoshop area with the NPI teams including Eng, Manufacturing, Purchasing and Quality. The position also supports with the Lab Test and Field Test activities sharing resources as well as providing parts.

 

JOB RESPONSABILITIES

 

  • Manages a team of 15 workshop Technicians
  • Manages the workload, priorities and deadlines according the project schedules
  • Organize proto parts procurement meetings
  • Manages tooling equipments (orders, receiving etc)
  • Write CERs (Capital Expenditure Requests) for the area of responsibility
  • Organize parts by assembly area as well as warehouse
  • Reports fabrication as well as assembly issues on the prototypes to Engineering
  • Organize the shipment of parts to Field Test and sister sites
  • Organize P0,P1s and P2 builds as well as Test Stands
  • Check the quality of the assemblies
  • Control of the Safety standards at work and manages the organization of the area according the 5S

Parts Procurement tracking with Purchasing, Manufacturing as well as the Protoshop fabrication area
Resources Management with Program Manager
Coordination of Parts Fabrication and Assembly of Prototypes, Test Stands and Field Test support
Resolve Timing issues and Priorities when necessary

Project Schedules for the Prototype Builds, Lab Test Stands and Support to Field Test Team
5S area organization and Safety to workshop personnel
Quality of the assembly and reporting of issues
