Manager IT, Italy Job

  •  IT responsibility for all locations in Italy
  •  Aligns IT initiatives (Local / Regional / Global) with Corporate and site strategic goals
  •  Ensuring the delivery of IT services according to the agreed service levels
  •  Managing local IT resources and budget in line with Regional and Global IT guidance
  •  Manage any local applications until they are migrated to global solutions
  •  Involvement in (global) IT strategy discussions / decisions in order to identify risk and impact for the location(s)
  •  Providing a “resource home“ for local / regional / global IT employees
  •  Communication to local Business and “voice of the customer“
  •  Relationship Management to Business Site Leads




  •  Minimum six to ten years related experience in manufacturing, agriculture, or related field
  •  MBA or Master of Science Degree in IT or Business
  •  Languages: English, Italian (preferred)
  •  Detailed knowledge of overall IT environment (SAP preferred)
  •  Experience in various IT disciplines
  • Proven experience as a senior IT manager with a track record covering the entire range of IT activities at a local or regional level (IT management and budgeting, project management, application development, infrastructure management, vendors management, IT methodologies, SLA, …)
  •  Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence across a global, distributed and matrixed environment (including cross-cultural awareness and experience with remote management)
  •  Ability to take accountability for IT outcomes in a highly matrixed IT environment
  •  Strong analytical skills combined with the ability to interact with every functional area
  •  Ability to work hands on and execute at all levels in the organization
  •  Ability to understand different business and functional perspectives and combine these to value delivery for the business as a whole
  •  People management skills required
  •  Strong influencing skills (ability to influence across organizational structures and geographies)
    • Specifically:
      •  Strong team management and leadership ensuring all team members understand how they contribute to the overall strategy and direction of MIS and AGCO overall
      •  Effective work and resource plan management to ensure optimization of resource in line with business priorities
      •  Effective people management skills including salary review process, recruitment and selection, performance management
      •  Ensure team members are equipped with the required and appropriate tools e.g. software, hardware, etc to do their job efficiently, effectively and in line with health and safety policy and standards
      •  Detailed working knowledge of the HR policies impacting their staff
  •  Results oriented achiever with strong analytical and problem solving skills
  •  Numerate with good financial analysis skills
  •  Experience of constant change and continuous improvement
  •  Analytical thought needed to resolve issues in a variety of complex situations
  •  Must evaluate issues using multiple sources of information
