NPI Manager

 

I.              POSITION PURPOSE:

 

The NPI manager is in charge of NPI processes from manufacturing stand point linked to the global NPI plan, following AMPIP steps, ECO management, MBOM accuracy (phase in/phase out), minimizing obsolescence.

IV.           BUSINESS EXPERTISE:

 

Define and manage the cost control for the modifications and new products

Make or buy the tools used for the modifications and new products (consultation of the suppliers and establish the buying demand)

Propose for capital plan, new equipment link to capacity or improve equipment

 

V.            LEADERSHIP/PEOPLE MANAGEMENT:

 

Lead 2 to 3 people depending of projects, 1 or 2 permanent people and 1 or 2 external service provider

Define the training necessary for his team to develop themselves

 
   

 

 

 

VI.           PROBLEM SOLVING:

 

6 sigma method (5 why, PDCA, DMAIC, Ishikawa…), Project management, AMPIP

 

VII.         NATURE OF IMPACT

 

Propose the industrialization of new product

Define and draw the layout and tools for the modifications new products in collaboration with the people in charge of production

Define and write the process for modifications and new product, in them of operation, standard time, and materials links to the production capacity

Check and improve the standard time

Define and establish the planning to implement the new material

Check the process for the modifications new products during the ramp up in collaboration with production and quality

Improve ergonomic workstation

Improve process on current production

 

VIII.        AREA OF IMPACT:

 

Manufacturing Assembly areas (combines and headers) and all transformations departments are impacted by modifications and New products.

 

IX.           INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:

 

To be able to drive meeting

Need to have a spirit of creativity, synthesis and relation ship

Good Communication

 

X.            QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

 

Engineer degree in mechanic or equivalent with experience in method

 

Languages:  English
