PaintShop Plant Supervisor     

                                                                                                              

 

 

I.              POSITION PURPOSE:
  • He is responsible for the Painting shop floor for three-shifts operation and manages 40+ employees.
  • Supports production Team leader group.
  • Collaborates strictly with Manufacturing Manager in order to put into practice targets received from. Overseen traceability and its accuracy.
  • Develops and create training plans.
  • Monitors and improves productivity and ensure adherence to production schedule.
  • Controls efficiency, productivity, OEE and quality.
  • Evaluates, with team leaders, production rates from the previous day and investigates the causes and possible solutions to any problems reflected in the metrics.
  • Implements lean manufacturing methodology & six sigma problem solving in the paint shop day by day management.
  • Support RSPP regarding safety risks.
  • Support Environmental manager regarding specific topics.
  • Manage quality, production, maintenance and introduction new product or process plant in Paint Shop

III.           FUNCTIONAL KNOWLEDGE:
  • A good technical knowledge of harvesting production.
  • A good technical knowledge of paint shop and cataphoresis.
  • Extensive experience in manufacturing discipline.
  • An excellent technical knowledge of painting and powder coating.
  • A good knowledge of automation.
  • Ability to apply knowledge in order to resolve problems on painting products.
  • Problem solving knowledge.
  • Work analysis knowledge.
  • Kaizen knowledge.
  • Safety knowledge (ASPP or RSPP).

 

 

IV.           BUSINESS EXPERTISE:
  • Understanding of the team’s roles, responsibilities and objectives.
  • Understanding of how the department interacts with other departments (logistic, engineering, spare parts, APS and Quality system rules and methods).
  • Understanding the target of the Manufacturing & Shipping Dpt.

 

 

V.            LEADERSHIP/PEOPLE MANAGEMENT:
  • Direct supervisory role.
  • Will provide a coaching role to new team members.
  • Good team leader abilities.
  • Excellent leadership, management and motivational skills.

 

 

 

VI.           PROBLEM SOLVING:
  • Technical issues are solved together with Quality Dpt.
  • Complex technical issues will require an analytical mind for wider analysis to obtain resolutions.
  • Liaison will be required between other functions, Quality, engineering, manufacturing engineering teams.
  • Quickly response to issues.

A key position in providing the required performance and materials to the internal and external customers.

 

VIII.        AREA OF IMPACT:

The role will have a direct impact on Assembly, welding, shipping and spare parts dpt.

X.            QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Experience in the same role.
  • Academic degree in Engineering  is required.
  • Black Belt Certify or other Process Engineering Master is required.
  • Ability to read a technical drawing.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
  • Good English.
