Job Summary

 

As a Parts Product Manager, you will be responsible for the revenue growth strategies and marketing activities for the commodity groups you will manage.  You will craft the messaging and positioning for products.  You'll conceive and develop innovative marketing programs that drive demand. 

 

The growth will be achieved by:

  • Building Market knowledge - Understanding customer needs, market potential and competitor strategies
  • Developing relationships inside and outside AGCO:
    • External - Dealer, Distributors and Suppliers
    • Internal - Sales, Marketing Communication and Supply Chain
  • Execution -  Develop and delivery of innovative marketing programs that drive demand on time and to budget.
  • Communication - Be the expert on your product groups and share the knowledge with internal and external contacts.

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Product Positioning - Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates your commodity groups in the market.
  • Sales Enablement - Communicate the value proposition of the products to the sales team/ dealers/ distributors and develop the sales tools that support the selling
  • process of your products.
  • Product Launch - Plan the launch of new products and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan
  • Market Intelligence - Be the expert on your buyers, how they buy and their buying criteria; be the expert on your competition.
  • Demand Generation - Develop the strategy and manage the marketing programs that drive demand for your products.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Minimum 4 years product management / marketing / field sales experience
  • Previous experience can be in a commercial Parts or Wholegoods role, within the agricultural industry or automotive / construction machinery businesses.
  • Professional Marketing / Commercial / Agriculture qualifications are desirable but not essential
  • Excellent knowledge of the EAME Agricultural machinery parts business and/or the automotive / construction machinery parts business.
  • English is a must. Other foreign language skills are desirable but not essential
  • Available to travel 25%
