FUNCTION:                                      Manufacturing

POSITION TITLE:                           Fabrication Supervisor

REPORTS TO:                                Manufacturing Manager

                                                                                                                         

 

 

I.POSITION PURPOSE:
  • He is responsible for the Fabrication Departments.
  • Supports Fabrication Team leader group.
  • Collaborates strictly with Manufacturing Manager in order to put into practice targets received from.
  • Oversees traceability and its accuracy.
  • Develops and create training plans.
  • Monitors and improves productivity and ensure adherence to production schedule
  • Controls efficiency, productivity and quality.
  • Evaluates, with team leaders, production rates from the previous day and investigated the causes and possible solutions to any problems reflected in the metrics.
  • Implements lean manufacturing methodology day by day.

II.FUNCTIONAL KNOWLEDGE:
  • A good technical knowledge of harvesting production.
  • An excellent technical knowledge of machine, robotic, automation.
  • An excellent knowledge of welding and bending.
  • Ability to lead team while instilling a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Ability to ensure proper training of all employees with proper documentation.
  • Problem solving Knowledge.
  • Work analysis knowledge.
  • Kaizen knowledge.

     

     

III.BUSINESS EXPERTISE:
  • Understanding of the team’s roles, responsibilities and objectives.
  • Understanding of how the department interacts with other departments (logistic, engineering, manufacturing engineering, parts, etc.).
  • Understanding the target of the Manufacturing & Shipping Dpt.

     

IV.LEADERSHIP/PEOPLE MANAGEMENT:
  • Direct supervisory role.
  • Has defined product responsibility and accountability.
  • Will provide a coaching role to new team members.

     

V.PROBLEM SOLVING:
  • Technical issues are solved together with Quality Dpt. or/and Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Complex technical issues will require an analytical mind for wider analysis to obtain resolutions.
  • Liaison will be required between other functions, Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing engineering teams.
  • Quickly response to issues.

     

VI.NATURE OF IMPACT

A key position in providing the required performance and materials to the internal customers.

 

VII.AREA OF IMPACT:

The role will have a direct impact on Assembly lines, painting shop, shipping and spare parts dpt.

IX.QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • University Degree (technical) or High school diploma is required.
  • Exceptional Team Leader abilities.
  • Ability to read a technical drawing.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent leadership, management and motivational skills.
  • Extensive experience in manufacturing discipline.
  • Good knowledge of the production machinery.
  • Good English Knowledge.
  • Kaizen knowledge is appreciated.
