AGCO is currently seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer (Commodity Castings & Forgings)

to join our Supplier Quality team in Breganze.




To support assigned suppliers to meet and/or exceed AGCO quality performance standards and our customer's product quality expectations by investigating, analyzing and resolving supplier quality problems. To lead in all supplier qualification endeavors including on-site supplier quality audits and supplier technical reviews. To drive systematic APQP in NPI phase to meet and / or exceed Supplier PPAP "Right First Time" targets.  




Supplier Qualification, Approval and Maintenance (10%)

  • Lead on-site audits focusing on both quality systems and technical processes
  • Conduct thorough technical reviews at part level to access supplier's capability to make part
  • Drive post-audit corrective actions


NPI - Part development (60%)

  • Drive systematic APQP to meet project time-line and (AMPIP) PPAP requirements
  • Help supplier to exceed "Fit, Form, Function" as well as reliability requirements while working with AGCO purchasing, manufacturing and engineering teams


Supplier Quality Management & Supplier Process improvement (20%)

  • Continuously monitor and improve supplier quality performance (NCR, PPM, RFT)
  • Champion problem solving and root cause analysis activities with suppliers to avoid repeat failures
  • Drive "Zero" defect approach within supply base and strive to exceed "Zero PPM" quality level


Supplier Warranty Reduction (10%)

  • Work with Technical service and supplier recovery team to gather, analyze and action all field issues related to assigned suppliers
  • Lead required problem solving efforts to eliminate warranty failures 




Required Qualifications of the SQE:

  • A minimum of 8 years’ experience in quality management in an foundry manufacturing environment
  • Medium to high level of expertise within Casting and Forging Commodity Such as: Sand systems & maintenance, Melting practices, Pouring process, Timing and Temperature controls, Chemical & mechanical testing / validation
  • Mastery over quality control & problem solving techniques for casting and forging components, have knowledge of key failure modes for castings and forging processes, problem diagnosis and resolution, standards and tolerance for each process
  • Understand a variety of casting processes including hot and cold form, permanent and semi-permanent, investment and die casting, ductile iron, Grey cast iron and heat treat processes


Preferred Qualifications of the SQE:

  • Able to review gating design and potential improvements including the sample casting process, Familiarity with tooling design (mold & pattern) and recommend design modifications or equipment repair
  • Experience working with customers, suppliers, leading supply chain quality improvement efforts
  • Experience driving cross-functional business processes
  • International exposure and/or experience desirable


Education of the SQE:

  • Bachelor degree in Mechanical engineering or manufacturing, advance “Metallurgy” knowledge is highly desirable
  • Advanced Oral/Written English communication skills
