Demand Planning Specialist Job

AGCO is currently seeking a Demand Planning Specialist to join our team in Duluth, GA.  The Demand Planning Specialist is primarily responsible for supporting our forecasting and planning processes, order management, systems, and reporting specifically within kits/options/accessories management.  The Demand Planning Specialist works with marketing managers, manufacturing facilities, and suppliers to maintain current and relevant unit forecasts in the supply chain process from retail to production.  Additionally, the Demand Planning Specialist identifies the product lifecycle and then plans and forecasts production for kits based on this and other key information such as historical and current machinery trends taking into account new product introductions.

 

Responsibilities:

- Analyze take rates for kits and accessories relative to whole goods and loose accessory unit orders to forecast demand and inventory levels

- Develop production requirements for kits and accessories that align with inventory objectives in consideration of equipment production forecast, retail opportunities/risks, manufacturing capabilities and detailed dealer order demand

- Communicate production requirements to manufacturing relative to approved monthly sales and operations plans and independent loose accessory order demand

- Manage forecasts and inventory for kits and field installed attachments to improve availability as a reliable supplier while improving inventory turns

 

Required Qualifications:

-  1+ years of experience in order management and fulfillment, operations, supply chain, demand planning and/or supply chain forecasting OR entry level with a Bachelor’s in Operations Management, Business Analytics, Business Operations, Business Management, Finance, Supply Chain, Material Planning, Marketing, Economics, Demand Planning or Industrial Management

- Advanced Microsoft Office Excel skills with the ability to conduct advanced formulas for analytics and graphs, as well as experience extracting large amounts of data and analyzing it for data management and analysis purposes; working knowledge of SQL a plus!

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Access

 

Preferred Qualifications:

- 2+ years of recent experience working in the agriculture, automotive, construction machinery, aviation, industrial, or other heavy machinery related industries

- 1+ years of experience with planning tools and enterprise systems such as, JD Edwards or SAP

- Experience in statistical analysis within planning or forecasting

- Order management processes knowledge *for internal candidates only

 

Education:

- Bachelor’s is required, preferably in Operations Management, Business Analytics, Business Operations, Business Management, Finance, Supply Chain, Material Planning, Marketing, Economics, Demand Planning or Industrial Management
