AGCO, a global leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of agricultural solutions, has an exciting career opportunity for an IT Developer II to join our team in Duluth, GA.  As an IT Developer II, you will be responsible for to develop and support on all points of SAP ECC, Data service -based solution to support our planned move to SAP S/4 HANA. IT Developer II will work with project team and all stakeholders to identify and translate business requirements into technical specifications, conceptual solutions and/or designs. IT Developer II will be responsible for resilient life cycle support of systems, solutions and configuration as assigned. This includes assessing and recommending system, solution and technical environment improvements to ensure a viable, stable and resilient technical solution.

 

You will also will be responsible for following defined SDLC processes, ensuring solution development adheres to process controls. Ability to drive complex projects and see them through the end. Good knowledge in application development life cycle.

 

Travel: Up to 30% domestically & internationally

What Will You Do?

Job Function and Responsibility

  • Evaluating existing solutions, proposing and implementing improvements, developing a data integration strategy.
  • Collaborating with teams to understand requirements, performing design and code reviews, developing and implementing best practices, working with the QA team on testing, mentoring and training others, and providing support when necessary.
  • Work closely with IT Architecture, IT Security and Businesses (Engineering, Service organization) and implement the solution.
  • Document and map interaction between business processes, information, and data to ensure that Project team have data integration completed.
  • Provide input to data utility requirements to ensure data access, integration, integrity, migration and security.
  • Data Modeling and strong SQL experience

 

Functional & Technical Skills

 

  • Formal IT methodology experience is required.
  • Knowledge of the software development life cycle.
  • 7-10 years of experience in application design, development & test
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in SAP DATA SERVICES(BOBJ) ETLs, Data Migration, Data Quality
  • Ability to Build Highly Technical BODS JOBS using Multiple Data Sources/ Complicated Business Rules
  • Should be able to integrate various data sources such as SAP ECC, Data Warehouse, ftp, files, IDOCs, AWS S3, Oracle/SQL, NoSQL  DB etc.
  • Strong Experience in various replication methods such as SLT, SAP Data Services change data capture and Smart data access (SDA) etc.
  • Data harmonization techniques and building exception handling strategy 
  • Experience in SAP information steward, Data Quality, SAP MDG is a huge plus
  • Strong plus: Experience in building OData/XSJS Services on SAP HANA, HANA views etc.
  • Working experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, AZURE etc.)
  • Experience working in Agile environment (Constant and Iterative Delivery)

  • Strong communication / interpersonal skills, capable of interacting with multiple levels of IT and business management.
  • Ability to address and resolve issues in an objective, fact-based, professional fashion.
  • Effective working relationship with the business to ensure business requirements are accurately captured agreed, accepted and implemented.
  • Ability to provide technical leadership on projects 

 

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

Basic Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or similar.
  • 7+ years of experience in IT industry (as Solution Architect, Data Developer, or similar) handling application design, development & test as well as SAP DATA SERVICES(BOBJ) ETLs, Data Migration, Data Quality

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in automotive, construction or agriculture equipment (preferred)
  • Global company experience is a plus
  • English both written and spoken
