 Who We Are Looking For

Reporting to the SVP, Senior Advisor to the CEO, the Vice President (VP) Strategy & Transformation leads the S&T function, which is accountable to oversee the development, execution, and evolution of AGCO’s corporate strategy.  This includes on-going analysis of the industry and competitive landscape, translating the strategy into business plans, leading a multiyear roadmap of strategic initiatives with expected value creation targets, and establishing change management strategies.  To deliver on those expectations, the S&T function leads the development of Business Strategy Leads, Data & Analytics, Results Delivery Office, Corporate Communications and collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver on Culture and Change Management practices and strategy.


What You Will Do

  • Leverage best-in-class strategy development processes to manage and evolve the Corporate Strategy – designing the “Where to Play”, “How to Win”, and Core Capabilities needed to deliver the corporate aspiration.
  • Conduct periodic reviews with the Sr Executive Team to evaluate current market and competitive intelligence to identify strategic adjustments and enhancements to the corporate strategy
  • Oversee a team of Strategy Directors that partner with business and functional Sr Vice Presidents to translate the corporate strategy into business plans, targets, and strategic portfolios.
  • Work with Sr Leaders to identify and execute a portfolio of strategic initiatives and projects that deliver desired growth, transformation, capability development, and value creation.  Ensure on-going development and deployment of best practices and world class capabilities across the organization.
  • Oversee the maturity and delivery of portfolio and project management services through the Results Delivery Office, which drive project management practices, tracks and reports portfolio progress, and works with project managers to scope, define, and execute strategic initiatives.
  • Partner across key functional areas to deploy transformational change leadership practices including training on change management excellence, develop specific change management strategies, support project change management plans, and leverage pulse surveys and focus groups to stay attuned to the organization.
  • Co-sponsors and oversees the execution of a three-year Corporate Culture program, which is supported by a full time Culture Lead, Steering Team, and group of culture process facilitators.
  • Oversees the Corporate Communications function, which is led by the VP of communications.   This organization leads both internal communications and external Public Relations, aligning closely to the growth strategy and internal transformation efforts.
  • Leads the function, which is 25-30 employees, and has responsibility for team culture, engagement, talent management, and team outcomes/value creation.  
  • Serves as a strategic coach and thought partner to other leaders across the organization.
  • Supports the CEO and Senior Leadership Team across special projects for the corporate and board of directors.   Develops policies, practices, and procedures that have a significant impact on the organization.   

 

What You Will Bring

  • Minimum 15 years of strategic business or consulting experience
  • Industry experience in ag or equipment manufacturing is preferred
  • Experience designing and leading complex, large scale transformation programs; strong program and project management experience
  • Experience leading and driving change across a global, culturally diverse organization

  • Experience working with C-Suite and/or Corporate Board of Directors is a strong want
  • A Masters Degree (MBA preferred)
  • Foreign language capability – English, German, French or Spanish, if possible
