AGCO, a global leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of agricultural solutions, has an exciting career opportunity for a Technical Validation Engineer to join our team in Hesston, KS. The Technical Validation Engineer will report to the Chief Engineer. The position supports Product Development and Improvements for Combines, Hay Tools, and Seeding Equipment


What Will You Do?

• Develop and conduct tests appropriate to validate machines, subsystems, and components

• Design, build, instrument, and conduct tests as required to meet test request objectives

• Document and report findings of tests

• Work with design engineers to determine appropriate test methodologies and interpret results

• Support Field Test activities with appropriate data gathering capability




Basic Qualifications:

• Associates Degree in Engineering or a technical discipline

• 3+ years lab testing experience in a manufacturing or agricultural environment


Preferred Qualifications:

• BS in Engineering

• Product test experience strongly preferred

• Experience with data collection devices is preferred

• Experience with NI LabVIEW and DIAdem

• Experience with CANalyzer

• Good mechanical aptitude and basic shop skills

• Good communication skills

• Ability to use basic software skills to acquire, manage, and report data

• Strong engineering skill sets

• Willing worker in team-based environment

• Pro-E or similar 3-D CAD system experience helpful

• Able to work independently and make decisions that require initiative and judgment in order to effectively plan, organize and complete various work assignments.

• Be capable of multi-step and sequential problem-solving activities; these include the comparing, analyzing and calculating data.

• Able to understand and communicate both verbally and in written form in English since instructions, labels and other documents are in English.

• Able to prepare concise, accurate written documents to communicate clearly with all levels of management and employees.

• Able to accept change and respond appropriately.

• Be self-motivated and have the ability to travel as needed.

• Be flexible and willing to accept a variety of tasks as assigned.
