What we are looking for:
The purpose of this job is to act as project leader in the design and development of complex major engineering projects, related to planters, for release to production in a manner to ensure products provide superior performance, durability, quality and serviceability.
What are you going to do:
- Prepare the concept, design, development, and feasibility studies of engineering projects related to new planter projects;
- Delegate portions of the project to other engineers and lead the design, analysis and computer simulation efforts;
- Prepare development plans and be responsible for meeting scheduled dates;
- Coordinate product testing;
- Evaluate, define and solve design and manufacturing problems;
- Use technical expertise and product knowledge to play a leadership role in the problem solving process when interfacing with test, service, factory, suppliers, and consultants;
- Keep abreast of the latest technological advances, prepare design concepts and develop unique product design features that the company often patents to gain competitive advantage;
- Travel (local and global), to contact suppliers, production plants, dealerships, customer job sites and field test locations related to the development of engineering projects.
What do you need:
- Bachelor’s Degree: Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical/Electronic or Production Engineering;
- Large experience in product development (desirable knowledge of agricultural products in particular planters);
- Experience with GD&T, DFMEA 4th, DVP&R, CAD Software (desirable ProE);
- Advanced English;
- Desirable knowledge in FEA, PMP & DFMA (design for manufacturing and assembly);
- Availability to live in Ibirubá/RS, Canoas/RS, Passo Fundo/RS or nearby.
