Precision Planting Region Manager (m/w/d)

Position Overview:


Precision Planting is a leading provider of planting and harvest technology in the Precision Ag Industry. We design innovative products that solve yield-robbing issues for farmers. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as a Region Manager (Precision Planting) in Germany. This individual will work remotely in territory. This is an exciting and challenging role that allows you to directly educate farmers while at the same time developing our dealer network and driving sales growth through them.


Your tasks:


  • Responsible for setting up and executing plot protocols for general agronomic education
  • Operate a plot planter during planting season to help validate new equipment solutions
  • Teach planter maintenance related issues and the agronomic why through planter
    Clinics & meetings
  • Collaborate with Precision Planting’s R&D Agronomy team regarding design concepts
    based on detailed field testing
  • Evaluate and document local plot results during the growing season and at harvest.
  • Recruit new dealers who have a passion for our agronomic approach of teaching.
  • Train and support existing dealers to grow sales and service capability through our
    agronomic-centric approach
  • Plan, manage, and present at agronomic-focused events (such as field days, planter
    clinics & farm shows) to build awareness of the yield-robbing agronomic problems that
    farmers face and how Precision Planting can resolve those problems
  • Effectively communicate sales and marketing initiatives to dealers
  • Effectively manage distribution channel to maximize sales while maintaining strong
    relationships with dealers and growers
  • Gain channel buy-in to product distribution strategies
  • Achieve alignment with dealers and corporate strategy to ensure sales and service
  • Provide product demonstration presentations, planter maintenance presentations, and
    other presentations as needed by the dealer team
  • Provide order support for specific region during selling season
  • Provide technical (level 1) support during planting & harvesting seasons
  • Travel to dealer locations, farm shows, and other events is required and varies by territory
    Travel can range from 25% to 50% based on the season

Your profile:


  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, in Agriculture or Business studies or other degree
    with agriculture experience
  • 3+ years experience in sales/account management or 1+ years working in the agriculture
  • Languages: German, English (fluent)
  • Ability to communicate and present to large groups
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal (presentations to audiences’ of 30-50 is
  • Positive attitude & highly motivated
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, Excel, G-mail, & Google docs
  • Experience in Agriculture or Precision Agriculture sales positions is strongly desired
