Precision Planting Product Support Specialist (m/w/d)

Position Overview:


Precision Planting is a leading provider of planting and harvest technology in the Precision Ag Industry. We

design innovative products that solve yield-robbing issues for farmers. We are seeking a highly motivated

individual to serve as a Product Support Specialist (Precision Planting) in Germany. This individual will work

remotely in territory. The Product Support Specialist is responsible for providing advanced technical support to

our dealers and customers to help ensure a great customer experience. In collaboration with R&D, they also are

involved with the go-to-market process of our new products. They also lead dealer training events, teach at

customer-facing field days, and help create Precision Planting publications.


Your tasks:


  • Responsible for setting up and executing plot protocols for general agronomic education
  • Operate a plot planter during planting season to help validate new equipment solutions locally
  • Collaborate with Precision Planting’s R&D Agronomy team regarding design concepts based on detailed field testing
  • Compile, analyze, and report on test plot and field data to the marketing department and R&D
  • Generate and edit content for technical publications including operator and installation manuals, technical and service bulletins, knowledge base articles, and product instructions
  • Lead breakout sessions of both introductory and advanced level dealer training
  • Design & build demonstration stands to be used for training & marketing purposes
  • Field calls from growers and dealers on technical support questions during office hours as well as an after-hours rotation. These calls will include support requests for such things as installation, in-field operation, and in-field break-downs
  • Make on-site service calls when an issue has progressed past the abilities of the local dealer and remote support is no longer an acceptable option
  • Communicate issues and future needs to the R&D team for current and future products
  • In collaboration with R&D, being actively involved with the go-to-market process for some of our new products helps to ensure a successful product launch
  • Provide product demonstration presentations, planter maintenance presentations, training

presentations, and other presentations as needed by the dealer team

  • Travel to dealer locations, farm shows, and other events is required and varies by territory
    Travel can range from 25% to 50% based on the season

Your profile:


  • Bachelors in Agriculture or related field
  • 1+ year of experience in supporting precision agriculture products
  • Languages: German, English (fluent)
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to communicate and present to large groups.
  • Strong writing skills. Evidence of creativity
  • Positive Attitude & Highly Motivated
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Flexible to adapt as priorities change
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, Excel, G-mail, & Google docs
