In this role you will be able to work in a genuinely international environment with award-winning, high-tech products. We are curious to seek out and develop new ideas in order to better serve our customers and employees, continuously improving what we do and how we do it. In our procurement department, you will be part of AGCO global purchasing, working alongside experts in their field.

This role has the responsibility of tactical and operational purchasing processes including assurance of transactional requirements. The Buyer, Regional Commodity serves as contact window for suppliers based in region and is also responsible for daily operational tasks like supply issues, RFQ execution, etc.


What You Will Do


  • Support purchasing budget definition
  • Inform Manager, Regional Commodity (RCM) about market trends and developments
  • Negotiate with regional suppliers in agreement with RCM
  • Manage RFQs, Bid Analysis and supplier recommendations in agreement with RCM
  • Execute supplier visits / audits with Supplier Quality Engineers
  • Conduct cost analysis activities with Cost Analysis Team; Support commodity reporting and performance measurement
  • Assist global tenders, regular audits and supplier evaluations; manage everyday communication with suppliers
  • Carry out contract management, incl. contract data maintenance


What You Will Bring


  • Bachelor's degree in a Business or related disciplines (ie. Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Management, Commodities Management)
  • Leverage supplier process knowledge for contract negotiations and continuous improvement opportunities
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills in English are a must, European languages, such as French, German and Italian are a definite plus
  • Ensure a comprehensive TCO that includes reliability, maintenance, operating, energy, transportation, and insurance costs across region


A Plus If You Have


  • Purchasing, Supply Chain or Engineering background
  • Experience of metal/steel parts, processes, technology
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to execute operationally
  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook) as well as ERP systems like SAP
