About the Role:

Precision Planting is seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as an Inventory Slotting Coordinator with a high degree of knowledge in the inventory and shipping areas.

This is an exciting and challenging role that allows you to apply your experience in the inventory and shipping field to analyze historical and forecasted SKU velocities of number of products, identify trends and make appropriate adjustments to inventory placement in the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to ensure inventory availability for picking before the order process begins.

 

What would I be doing?

  • Utilizes various warehouse systems to analyze data and determine appropriate locations to slot product.
  • Monitors forecasts and past usage to determine slotting priorities for all products.
  • Executes and monitors inventory flow strategy. Monitors replenishment, ensuring areas are effectively stocked and consolidated.
  • Prepares future plans while assisting with immediate issues and rush orders.
  • Communicates out of stock, expired, and excess inventory levels to cross-functional teams to support timely decision making by all groups.
  • Analyzes current processes and systems. Recommends change to maximize efficiencies.
  • Collaborates with peers and business partners to maximize efficiency through workflow and inventory management to strategize best practice for flow of information.
  • Must be capable of lifting #50 and work in other areas of the warehouse as needed
  • Participate in lean concepts and meetings

 

What must I have?

  • 2+ years of related slotting experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
  • GED or equivalent/High School Diploma.
  • Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Exceptional Microsoft Office skills.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

 

What other specific skills & experiences would be good for me to have?

  • Advanced degree preferred in Supply Chain/Warehousing
  • Knowledge of Scale Warehouse Management System (WMS).
