Job Title: Intern Strategic Marketing and International Show & Event Management 


For our EME Headquarters based in Neuhausen am Rheinfall, we are looking for an:


Intern Strategic Marketing and International Show & Event Management,  100%,   


working language is English and remote work up to 60% is possible after induction


This position will be based at our European Headquarters, Neuhausen, Switzerland. Preferred start date May 1, 2023 or by appointment.




Job Summary:

International shows, both on and offline, are a key part of AGCO's marketing mix, involving all of AGCO's key brands.

In this role you will be supporting processes optimizing show strategy and related business and marketing activities.


AGCO’s focus at trade shows lies in sustainability aspects, digital/offline communication, and positioning synergies to help maximize exhibition investment ROI by brand and customer segment.


Preparing for and executing Agritechnica in November 2023 in Hannover, Germany is a key activity for AGCO and this internship role. Agritechnica is the world’s leading trade fair for agricultural technology and machinery and AGCO’s largest single invest in a trade show participation.


To help drive a successful show and development of marketing strategies, AGCO's Multi-Brand Strategy and Brand Governance team is looking for a digital / physical event-management savvy, project management-focused and creative intern starting as soon as possible to support the team's Manager for Event Strategy and International Show Management.




Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Marketing

Supporting in producing reports, presentations, and status update materials:

  • Show statistics, surveys
  • Schedules related to AGCO Booth/brands/show/competitor events
  • Supporting development of overall AGCO exhibition strategy and digital footprint evolution
  • Supporting in processes across AGCO brands to optimize exhibition materials, supplier, lead-generation


Agritechnica 2023

  • Supporting the Manager in supplier management
  • Supporting the Manager in aligning AGCO's brands and key suppliers in defining stand layout, composition and construction
  • Supporting the Manager in managing show cost tracking and invoice management across AGCO brands
  • Supporting the Manager in preparation of meetings
  • Supporting the Manager in Purchase Order management in SAP
  • Supporting the Manager in setting up the digital registration platform for AGCO staff visitors
  • Supporting the Manager in handling VIP and visitor arrangements for accommodation, transport, tickets
  • Supporting the manager in general administrative tasks
  • Supporting the Manager in defining and tracking show cost KPIs



Requirements / Minimum Qualification and Competencies:

To apply for this position, you should have the following qualifications and competencies

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Project management experience, ideally in event management
  • Strong administrative skills
  • Strong understanding of budget and invoice processes
  • Online and offline marketing knowledge
  • Strong Excel, PowerPoint skills
  • Written and verbal business English fluency
  • A minimum working knowledge of German is an advantage
  • Experience in a matrix environment is an advantage
  • Knowledge in sustainable event solutions is an advantage
  • Knowledge of Purchase Order management in SAP is an advantage
