Manager, Statutory & Regulatory Reporting 
Stoneleigh, Warwickshire

This role will supervise a team of 5 direct reports and will have overall responsibility for managing the timely submission of both UK and Overseas legal entity statutory reporting; VAT returns (including corresponding payments to local authorities); related balance sheet account reconciliations (VAT and Current Tax); monthly intrastats reporting and other regulatory reporting required locally.  The role will manage through the team related queries associated with the above responsibilities and act as a key contact between the business and external authorities and auditors to resolve queries and issues.

Your key responsibilities will involve:


  • Managing the timely preparation and submission of statutory reporting of circa 20 legal entities (total turnover of approx $4.8bn);

  • Managing circa 31 VAT returns (18 monthly, 9 quarterly, 4 bi-monthly) and corresponding preparation of paperwork for payment

  • Managing the preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations;

  • Managing intrastrats reporting and other regulatory reporting

  • Key point of contact between the business and local authorities - manage the relationship with tax team

  • Managing the relationship with external auditors

  • Introduction of common processes, to drive efficiency and quality improvements within team

  • Involvement in other adhoc projects as and when required


Candidates should have:

  • Essential to have a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) and IFRS experience as a minimum

  • Understanding of overseas legislation/requirements

  • Technical understanding of local GAAP vs US GAAP

  • Developing team knowledge to ensure they have country-specific knowledge

  • Experience of continuous improvement to processes

  • Excellent customer focused skills

  • Previous experience working in an audit background would be very beneficial
