Who We Are Looking For

The Administrative Assistant plays a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and support to visitors, employees and leaders at the Taylorville, IL facility. The role provides general office and receptionist support with a variety of clerical activities and related tasks. The Assistant is the first person that visitors and customers will meet and it’s vital that they display professionalism and kindness along with representing AGCO’s core values of accountability, integrity, transparency, team spirit and respect.

 

What You Will Do

 

  • Answer the phone in a professional manner and direct calls to the correct offices.
  • Greet and assist visitors. Connect them with the appropriate employee.
  • Help maintain workplace security by issuing, checking and collecting badges and maintaining visitor log.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Data entry of Purchase Requisitions. Scanning of Credits, Bill of Ladings, Delivery Tickets, etc.
  • Book Travel Arrangements.
  • Keep Inventory of supplies and order as needed.
  • Develop and maintain a filing system.
  • Maintain attendance line and log.
  • Assist in planning and preparation of company events.
  • Assist team in assigned project work.
  • Minimal travel locally or to other facilities.

 

What You Will Bring

 

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2 years’ experience as an Administrative Assistant or in related field
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Experience with administrative and clerical procedures
  • Intermediate/ advanced Microsoft Office skills
