About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated controls engineer to join our product development team. In this role, you will be developing control software for steering large agricultural vehicles through standing crop.


What would I be doing?

  • Developing control software for steering large agricultural vehicles through standing crop at high speeds.
  • Tuning software on-machine to optimize machine performance.
  • Working with the computer vision and machine learning team to help improve input signals for vehicle steering.
  • Defining I/O necessary for enhancing machine steering in various conditions
  • Working with the software team to deploy control algorithms on embedded devices for integration into the 20|20 architecture.


What must I have?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering / Agricultural Engineering / Computer Science / Software Engineering or equivalent experience. 
  • Experience in developing open and closed loop control algorithms
  • Comfortable with deploying and tuning software on large agricultural machinery.  
  • Experience in developing real time embedded software and systems.
  • Ability to work independently and high attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and experience being a flexible team player.
  • Passion and tenacity to solve difficult problems in a highly functioning, fast paced team environment.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. 


What other specific skills & experiences would be good for me to have?

  • 3+ years developing algorithms and product solutions through software and embedded systems design.
  • 3+ years experience in vehicle steering and/or path-planning development.
  • Experience in model based software development tools such as Simulink.
