Dealer Marketing Development Coach - Existing Dealer


Position Overview

Precision Planting is a leading provider of planting and harvest technology in the Precision Ag Industry. We design innovative products that solve yield-robbing issues for farmers. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as the Dealer Marketing Coach for Precision Planting dealers.  This individual will be responsible for coaching  select dealers on branding, advertising, and promotion of their dealership, with the intent of working with them for two seasons and then launching them to work with their region manager, being equipped to market their business successfully.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Work with new dealers to create and execute annual marketing plans, with follow ups and accountability to completing agreed upon actions.  

  • Support dealer events with strategy, planning, and execution

  • Work in concert with the Region Manager team to coordinate which dealers the Dealer Marketing Development Coach should be working with and to update the Region Manager on progress of the dealer’s development.

  • Work with the dealer marketing communications specialist to prioritize needs for materials that need to be created for dealer promotion

  • Help dealers develop and promote their brand strategy - visual appearance, messaging, etc.

  • Teach dealers through the messaging of the Precision Planting brand and product line so that they are confident in talking to farmers about the products.

  • Help dealers prioritize marketing activities and spend

  • Teach dealers how to use the marketing tools available to them, including the marketing store, marketing co-op, and outside agencies.

  • Provide feedback to the broader marketing team on what dealers are saying and asking for to guide dealer facing materials.

  • Assist dealers with the selection of website vendors, media vendors, and other agencies to help them extend their reach of being known and relevant in their area.

  • After a dealer has worked with the Marketing Development Coach for 18-24  months, be able to release them to successfully work with the Region Manager on marketing and move on to the next set of  dealers to develop.




  • 3+ years experience in agriculture sales and/or marketing

  • Excellent people and time management skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Highly motivated

  • Willing to travel - 25-50% travel needed

  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom,, slack

  • Demonstrated experience in communicating complex product principles and complex marketing principles in an understandable way.

  • Willingness and ability to motivate and hold dealer accountable who are not part of the same company

  • Strong understanding of the agricultural industry and the dealer model of sales
