Your impact

Environmental health and safety (EHS) manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of environmental, health, and safety policies, managing work with a team of professionals to ensure that these policies are implemented correctly and consistently across the organization. This position is responsible for responsible for managing EHS and deploying corporate EHS culture at the plant, ensuring compliance with legal environment, health and safety requirements, promoting the continuous improvement of safety performance and implementing/maintaining EHS certifications. This function is also the technical EHS responsible at the plant.

  • Deploy and implement global and regional safety and environmental strategies at the plant, develop required policies or procedures related to EHS issues; Reinforce and deploy the environment and safety culture; Act proactively in order to anticipate risks and promote continuous improvement of EHS performance;
  • Creating and enforcing occupational health and safety standards in accordance with federal, state, and international regulations Implement / maintain ISO14001 / ISO45001 systems certifications;
  •  Perform assessments and technical inspections; Monitor implementation of actions to reduce the operational risks required by insurance companies; Represent Company before government public entities related to EHS;
  • Manage EHS team; Technical responsibility for EHS at the Plant where it is located; Track and report Sustainability and safety KPIs;

 

Your experience and qualifications

  • Mandatory post-graduation in safety engineering and bachelor's or postgraduation degree in environmental matters;
  • Experience as an EHS Manager ( Health, Safety and Enviroment)
  • Experience with people management
  • Fluent English
