The Product Support Specialist is responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience by providing advanced technical support to dealers and end-users of the PTx product line. This role will collaborate with R&D in assisting with new product launches. This role will also lead dealer training, assist at trade shows, and create PTx publications.
Your Impact

Provide Technical Support: Handle calls from growers and dealers during office hours and after-hours rotation for installation, in-field operation, and breakdowns; respond to online ticket inquiries and make on-site service calls when remote support isn’t sufficient.

Collaborate with R&D and Product Launch: Communicate field issues and future needs to R&D; actively participate in go-to-market processes for new products to ensure successful launches.

Drive Customer Experience and Training: Lead dealer training sessions (introductory and advanced), breakout sessions at PTx conferences, and Planter Technology Institution events.

Create and deliver projects focused on customer experience, process improvement, and training effectiveness.

Develop Technical Content and Marketing Support: Generate and edit operator manuals, installation guides, service bulletins, and knowledge base articles; compile, analyze, and report test plot and field data to assist marketing and research efforts.

Your Experience and Qualifications
-
Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Systems Technology, Agronomy, or equivalent; OR 3+ years supporting Precision Ag equipment; OR 5+ years related product support experience, with strong familiarity in agriculture.

Core Skills: Excellent writing and editing abilities with evidence of creativity; strong problem-solving skills; ability to communicate and present effectively to large groups.

Customer Satisfaction Metrics: Customer Satisfaction Score (post-contact surveys) and Net Promoter Score (NPS) to measure overall satisfaction and loyalty.

Operational Efficiency Metrics: First Response Time, First Contact Resolution Rate, and Resolution Time to track responsiveness and issue resolution performance.

Team Engagement: Employee Engagement score to assess satisfaction and retention within the customer support team.
