Director, Farm Sales Job

The Grain Sales Team has an exciting opportunity for a Director, Farm Sales to join the team. This position is a very critical role within the organization as it will lead our farm sales team in NA and have full responsibility for developing not only the continued growth of the business but also the people within the farm business with coaching, mentoring and leadership.  They will be responsible for overall top line growth in the industry, establishing new markets, increased market share and working with the DM’s to develop solid business plans for our current customers to continue growing.  This person will be responsible for managing a budget within their team and maintaining positive budget numbers on a monthly basis from a cost perspective as well.

Job Function and Responsibilities

  • Build and develop new opportunities                     
  • Set targets for teams to achieve top line#              

Management Responsibility

  • This position will oversee anywhere between 5-10 people
  • Full responsibility to include establishing goals and objectives, ongoing coaching and feedback, midyear reviews and year end performance reviews as well.
  • Train and develop team members in their current roles and coach and advise on best approaches to accomplish tasks at hand.


Education

  • Bachelors in Business, Marketing/ Sales, or related field
  • MBA preferred
  • Minimum, 10-15 years with proven experiences in the industry

Qualifications and Experience

  • This position requires someone from the industry who has a wide variety of experiences both from a technical standpoint as well as a sales perspective.
  • The candidate must have at a minimum 10 years in the industry with detailed examples of how they have had successes building a customer base, gaining market share from the competition and increasing the current customer base as well. 
  • The candidate will also need to have experience and examples of how they have built a team to win, coached, trained and developed them to continue to win and find new ways as well. 
  • SalesForce experience preferred

<span style=\"font-family:Georgia, serif\">The Product Manager\xa0will have the opportunity to share in the ownership of the Protein Product Line including the maintenance, evolution, and rationalization of existing products and the development of new products and services to keep AP & Cumberland at the forefront of swine and poultry production equipment.\xa0 The position will interact with and support the GSI operations, engineering, purchasing, marketing, sales, and finance teams, our dealers, and the end customers to ensure the quality, profitability, availability, and performance of AP & Cumberland products.\xa0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

\xa0<\/p>\n\n

<span style=\"font-family:Georgia, serif\">What You Will Do:<\/u><\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

<span style=\"font-family:Georgia, serif\">\xa0\u2022 Facilitate the identification of industry trends and challenges and position brands to capitalize on opportunities.\xa0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

<span style=\"font-family:Georgia, serif\">\u2022 Coordinate current and emerging product road maps and ensure requirements align through product rationalization and refinement.\xa0\xa0\xa0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

<span style=\"font-family:Georgia, serif\">\u2022 Grow and maintain relationships with suppliers of products marketed by Cumberland and AP.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

<span style=\"font-family:Georgia, serif\">\u2022 Guide New Product Development (NPD) through gaps and opportunities analysis, business cases to ensure the proper investment of resources and align voice-of-customer plans to create specifications and requirements for NPD projects to ensure the suitability of products to meet market demand.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

<span style=\"font-family:Georgia, serif\">\u2022 Create product pricing models utilizing gross margin and competitive analysis to maximize volume and profitability.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

<span style=\"font-family:Georgia, serif\">\u2022 Promote efforts to increase margin through product design, manufacturing methods, and supplier strategies.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

<span style=\"font-family:Georgia, serif\">\u2022 Contribute to strategic Sales, Inventory, and Operations decisions by providing input regarding market outlooks, inventory levels, manufacturing locations, outsourcing, etc.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n
