The Materials Department has an exciting opportunity for a Master Scheduler to join its team in delivering extraordinary results at the Assumption, IL location. This position is responsible for managing production schedules to support customer requirements and production capacity. The role will have direct responsibility for delivering an accurate production and supply forecast. Additionally, working with production schedulers, will plan and oversee the execution of the annual strategic inventory process.
What you will do:
- Define products to schedule and manage scheduling units for those products to ensure correlation with production capabilities.
- Manage production/supply forecasts.
- Convert the SIOP plan into Master Production Schedule (MPS)
- Select and maintain planning bills to reflect expected product mix.
- Manage production schedules with scheduling targets to match production output with customer requirements.
- Analyze production schedules to ensure there are no gaps in the schedule.
- Manage reserved capacity to offer shorter lead times to preferred orders.
- Oversee annual strategic inventory process.
- Plan volume and mix of products to build and consume.
- Define specific production and consumption schedules.
- Adjust schedules as business needs change.
- Solve problems using lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
What you will bring:
- Have good knowledge/expertise in Supply Chain especially in planning processes.
- Have good knowledge of Manufacturing functions (production) as well as Sales & Marketing.
- Experience with MRP and inventory management systems.
- Detail oriented.
- Good communication skills.
- College degree and APICS certification are preferred.
- A continuing pursuit of knowledge and growth within the field is expected.
