Who We Are Looking For
AGCO has an exciting opportunity for a Material Planner in Assumption, Illinois. The Material Planner is responsible for the procurement of materials and services at the best possible price given specified quality standards and time constraints.
What You Will Do
- Support AGCO’s Global Procurement strategies and policies.
- Build and develop relationships with key suppliers, and corporate purchasing team.
- Participate in scheduling customer orders by providing lead time and availability information for purchased components.
- Maintain monitoring system for purchase orders to ensure timely arrival of material required. Communicate any delays to the organization. To include creating, expediting and managing PO’s.
- Support implementation of cost reduction and product improvement projects
- Maintain metrics that accurately reflect departmental performance regarding on-time delivery, inventory levels, etc.
- Monitor, analyze, and minimize purchasing variances.
What You Will Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Equivalent Experience
- 2-5 years purchasing experience if no certification or bachelor’s degree.
A Plus If You Have
- CPM Certification
- Knowledge of Materials Requirement Planning and how to maximize its use in the Purchasing functions for a Manufacturing Facility.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
