Shift: 1st shift, 7am-3:30pm (OT starts at 5am, plus Saturdays) starting at $18/hr                                    

Reports to: Sr. Production Manager/Production Supervisor


Job Summary

Responsible for performing electrical or mechanical tests on end product to ensure unit functions according to specifications prior to customer shipment. Determine cause of unit failure using test instruments and drive data upstream to prevent reoccurrence.  Reviews test schedule, work orders, test manuals, performance specifications, wiring diagrams, and schematics to determine testing procedure and equipment to be used.  Read and interpret dials, gauges, or digital displays that indicate electronic characteristics, such as voltage.

Job Responsibilities

  • Follows required safety and work procedures
  • Maintains/produces a level of output that will minimize production delays
  • Cleans and maintains an orderly work area (Maintain 5s Standard)
  • Communicates effectively with other workers to direct personal workflow
  • Assist other individuals in area when needed
  • Other Duties as deemed necessary and requested by the supervisor
  • Implementing all aspects of Lean Manufacturing
  • Must be dedicated in supporting the quality management systems of AGCO
  • Implement all aspects of AGCO Lean and Quality Management systems.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.


Safety Responsibilities

Essential skills


High school diploma or GED.


Qualifications and Experience

  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred
  • Basic computer skills , but not required
  • Understanding of how to use measuring instruments (calipers, protractor, tape measure, steel ruler), read blueprints and operate hand grinder and other hand tools
  • Ability to read, write and use basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to follow precise instructions
  • Ability to communicate effectively with peers, managers and across departments
  • Basic understanding of electrical circuitry (110v, 240v, 380v, 480v, 575v)
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics
  • Experience with testing instruments such as multi-meter, Amp meter, and vibration meter
  • Pallet Jacks
  • Hand Tools
  • Material Handling
  • Jib Crane        


Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.


Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee works with and near large machinery and equipment daily. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The employee is exposed to a variety of extreme conditions including temperatures ranging from 40°F to 105°F.

The physical demands here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential job functions of this job.


While performing the essential functions of this job, employee is continuously required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel or crouch.  The employee is occasionally required to walk, sit, and talk or hear. The employee must be able to stand for up to twelve hours per day. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.


Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.


The employee must wear personal protective equipment (i.e. eye protection, hearing protection, safety shoes, gloves, sleeves, etc.)



No travel is expected for this position.
