Shift: 1st Shift, 7am-3:30pm, OT starts at 5am plus Saturdays when production demand is high
Classification: Non-exempt/Hourly starting at $22.50/hr up to $26.30/hr depending on experience
Reports to: Sr. Production Manager/Production Supervisor
Job Summary
The Welder position is responsible for the robot welders operating with the facility. This position will be responsible for overseeing the safety, quality and delivery of the production that is being produced by each robot machine.
Job Responsibilities
- Reading, interrupting, and performing welding techniques to fabricate parts to be issued in the manufacturing of products. This includes processing basic mechanical knowledge and use of hand tools; following instruction on how to load jigs, and weld small parts.
- Keeping tools and equipment in good working order
- Robotics required the employee to be competent in welding as well as ability to utilize computer based software operating the robotic machine.
- Ability to use all measuring tools used by AGCO welding department
- Responsible for use of cutting equipment as deemed necessary and understanding hard welding
- Must maintain proper product counts and report them as required in a timely manner
- Responsible for any re-work or corrections as necessary to ensure a product meets specifications
- Must be able to be moved to another area of the plant as needed for productivity objectives
- Must be able to complete paper work that ensures good communication skills, both written and through reports
- Work with the team of machine operators to verify the first piece/ last piece of any production run
- Communicate with management if any issues arise with Machine Operators safety, quality, and delivery
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area to 5S Standards.
- Implement all aspects of AGCO Lean and Quality Management systems.

Essential skills
Education
High school diploma or GED required, technical degree or certificate in welding preferred.
Qualifications and Experience
- 5 years + of Welding experience
- AGCO Welding Certified
- Computer Programming experience
- Must be able to successfully pass Welder 3/Robot Operator assessment
- Ability to use various tools including (tape measure, hand grinder, plasma cutter, acetylene torch, etc.), read blueprints and tape measure.
- Ability to read, write and use basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions and angles).
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to follow precise instructions.
- Ability to communicate effectively with peers, managers and across departments.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee works with and near large machinery and equipment daily. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The employee is exposed to a variety of extreme conditions including temperatures ranging from 40°F to 105°F. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.

The physical demands here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential job functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or craw and frequently required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach with hands or arms. The employee must be able to stand for up to twelve hours per day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
The employee must wear personal protective equipment (i.e. eye protection, respirator, hearing protection, safety shoes, gloves, sleeves, etc.)
