As a Continuous Improvement Technician, you will be responsible for identifying and implementing changes within the organization to improve efficiency and productivity. You will utilize methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma to analyze processes and identify areas for improvement. You will work across all levels of the organization, collaborating with teams and departments to implement changes that drive business results. You will also play a key role in facilitating a culture of continuous improvement within the organization, fostering a mindset of constant learning and adaptation.
Your Impact
- Partner with individual hourly team members in various operational, product, and warehouse areas throughout the Batavia site to promote, initiate, and implement APS tools and processes, including but not limited to: 5S+1, Visual Management, Work Area Design and Layout, and Standard Work.
- Maintain continuous improvement responsibilities for multiple operational, product, and warehouse areas and continuous improvement initiatives, serving as a recognized tactical expert and resource leader for focus areas, process standardization, and delivering significant simplification results.
- Partner with individual hourly team members in various operational, product, and warehouse areas throughout the Batavia site to identify and eliminate waste.
- Follow instructions from the APS Team, operations management, and continuous improvement management.
- Ability to drive cross-functional results in the areas of safety, quality, productivity/cost, and delivery.
- Initiate sustainable process improvements to exceed operations and customer expectations while using continuous improvement strategies to drive continuous process improvement.
- Serve as tactical leader for the deployment of existing methodologies while initiating and applying continuous improvement principles.
- Facilitate analysis of process flow and operational processes, systems, and improvement activities to achieve continuous improvement results.
- Make recommendations to operations management and continuous improvement management for proposed process flow and operational processes, systems, and improvement activities.
- Assist other employees as needed and train employees on job procedures, including but not limited to: 5S+1, Visual Management, Work Area Design and Layout, and Standard Work.
- Use tools, equipment, and technology, including hand or power tools, material handling equipment, and computerized or automated systems.
- Maintain work area(s) in a safe, clean, and orderly fashion.
- Follow all Company rules, policies, procedures, and requirements, especially for: safety, quality, delivery, and productivity/cost.
- Perform other duties, activities, and responsibilities as instructed.

Your Compensation This position will pay within the range $28.00-$32.50 per hour. This position is eligible for gainsharing.
