The AGCO Global Forecasting and Planning team has an exciting opportunity for a high-impact Global Parts Demand & Supply Chain Optimization Specialist to join its team in delivering extraordinary results to our farmers. The Global Forecasting and Planning Team is responsible for inventory management and anticipating the needs of the customer. This is a role with growth potential and developmental opportunities. In this position, you will drive the highest level of service and quality to our dealership network.

 

This candidate will focus on developing and implementing the global inventory strategy, defining the location-specific segmentation, stocking decisions, and inventory planning parameters to optimize the balance of service level and inventory value targets. The role takes ownership of maintaining the required configuration in the planning system and will act as a subject matter expert on inventory management.

  

What You Will Do

  • Continuous analysis, review, and implementation of segmentation and inventory planning strategy
  • Optimization of the service level & inventory value tradeoff
  • Development of “what-if” scenarios detailing the inventory impact of supply network design changes
  • Collaboration with the Data Science team to further develop analytic tools
  • Ability to work efficiently with mathematical concepts, develop models and communicate options with cost-benefit analysis
  • Coordination of projects related to inventory planning

 

What You Will Bring

  • 3+ years’ experience in inventory management or supply chain planning roles
  • BS/BA degree in Supply Chain, Mathematics, Engineering or Economics

 

A Plus If You Have

  • Strong data analysis skills
  • Advanced level user in Excel
  • Supply chain business acumen
  • Basic query language (SQL) experience
  • Tableau creator or equivalent data visualization tools
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Programming experience (R, Python or equivalent)
  • Experience in configuring segmentation of complex portfolios
  • Experience with Servigistics planning tools
