Summary of Responsibilities: Working supervisor that supervises all aspects of the maintenance department. Prioritizes and responds to customer requests in a timely manner.

Summary of Duties:

  • Supervise and complete maintenance work in accordance with regulation on electrical, HVAC, plumbing, electronic controls, buildings and grounds, and all other aspects of the manufacturing facilities and the equipment used throughout the manufacturing processes.
  • Provide expertise and support in all aspects of maintenance including: safety programs, technical assistance, training, new equipment justification and implementation, plant floor layout, lean opportunities, contract work, and management/supervision of direct reports.
  • Directs and coordinates maintenance activities within the manufacturing facility to assure all manufacturing areas are operating safely at full capacity with maximum reliability.  These duties specifically focusing on preventative maintenance, TPM, equipment repair, personnel job assignments, team meetings, management reporting, personnel training and personnel evaluations.
  • Research and development of new/existing processes and manufacturing systems to improve quality, productivity, and reduce operating costs.  R&D should include the discovery of new equipment, maintenance techniques and principles through partnerships, testing, and/or idea exchanges with technical contacts.
  • Communicate priorities, plans, progress and results to both internal and external customers including:  maintenance personnel, manufacturing manager, manufacturing supervisors, and management.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certifications:

  • Knowledge with electronics and electrical systems required, Master Electrician or equivalent experience preferred. 
  • Technical related software proficiency preference to MS Office Suite; CAD; Working knowledge of operating systems.
  • Should possess knowledge & experience with compliance codes and regulations such as, OSHA/ANSI, NFPA, KDHE, NEC, EPA, ect.
  • AGCO Powered Industrial Truck certifications to be obtained upon hire to include operation of man lift, forklift, utility carts, and other powered vehicles. 

Experience:

  • A minimum of two years of experience in a Plant/Maintenance Supervisory Role to acquire sufficient background and technique to perform job responsibilities.
  • A minimum of five years of experience working in a plant/construction environment as maintenance technician or technical support. 
  • Project management for new equipment installations.
  • Previously demonstrated supervisory and leadership required.

Required Skills:

  • Team player who can communicate (verbal & written) effectively in a team environment.
  • Organizational skills necessary to effectively prioritize, manage, and distribute work requests and parts necessary for work requests.
  • Evaluating machine failures and developing corrective actions. (including analysis of failure and deployment of corrective actions necessary to bring equipment online quickly)
  • Self-motivation necessary to research solutions and improvements autonomously
  • Professional attitude necessary to handle multiple tasks in multiple departments.
  • Experience in safety programs including: Fall protection, Lifting Equipment, Lock Out Tag Out, Confined Space, Hot Work, Hazardous Materials Compliance & Respiratory Protection. Employees must possess the skill, education, and other qualification to conduct the duties assigned for the position in a safe manner and in accordance with corporate, federal and state specific regulatory requirements. These requirements include, but are not limited to, regulations found in 40 CFR 265.16(d)(2) with regards to hazardous materials management.
