Material Handler

SUMMARY:

AGCO, a global leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of agricultural solutions, has an exciting career opportunity for a Material Handler to join our team in Beloit, KS. The material handler, under general supervision, performs duties related to the offloading and storage of material in the facility.

                                                        

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily:

  • Ensures on time delivery of material by filling orders through inspection, packing, loading and shipping of the order.
  • Ensures on time delivery of products to “will call” slab for pick up from outside vendors.
  • Enters data into computer system.
  • Receives and returns items into stock inventory as needed.
  • Transports large jigs, up to 16 feet tall, from storage and/or worksites to designated areas using forklift.
  • Secures lifting attachments to materials and conveys load destination, crane or hoist, or signals crane or hoisting operators to move load to destination.
  • Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information bundles and skids of materials for proper identification.
  • Notifies management of product discrepancies, equipment malfunctions and/or personal injuries.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is required to perform the duties
  • Adheres to all company policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations.

 

Qualifications:

  • Good organization skills, ability to work on multiple assignments simultaneously
  • Basic math skills
  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, showing motivation, organization and accountability.
  • Function as part of a team, both direct and cross-functional.
  • Strong work ethic and able to work under minimal supervision
  • Detail oriented
  • Available to work extended hours as required

 

Knowledge & Experience

  • Education: High School graduate or equivalent
  • Forklift experience required
  • Certifications/License: CDL Preferred
  • Warehouse experience preferred

 

Other Requirements & Work Environment:

  • Must wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE): Steel-toed boots, protective eyewear, hearing protection, hard hat, and hand protection.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
  • Withstand environmental temperatures working inside and outside of the warehouse
  • Assist in other areas as needed
