The Purchasing Project Development Associate role is responsible for sourcing activities for new product introductions (NPI) projects, ensuring cost, quality, and timing objectives are met. This position will work closely with Engineering, Finance, Manufacturing, Marketing, and Global Category teams, aligning cost targets, sourcing strategies, and supplier performance to enable successful new product launches. The role will contribute to global supply chain decisions and help foster cross-functional collaboration.
Your Impact

Support cost target alignment efforts with Finance and Global Category Managers, ensuring feasibility and consistency with benchmarks. Drive adherence to cost targets for all new products at production readiness.

Develop and maintain a master component sourcing schedule, including RfX, supplier negotiations support, award tracking, and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) milestones.

Coordinate NPI component sourcing strategies aligned with global objectives to meet cost, quality, and timing goals.

Monitor project maturity and escalate unresolved gaps to leadership.

Manage procurement workflows, including approvals for sourcing recommendations, requisitions, and purchase orders.

Facilitate collaboration between Engineering and suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
Your Experience and Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, engineering, or a related field.

1-2 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management.

Basic understanding of supplier management, sourcing processes, or cost analysis.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Ability to work in a fast‑paced, global environment.

Interest in manufacturing or heavy equipment industries.

Exposure to PPAP, RFx processes, or supplier negotiations preferred.
