As a Design Engineer, you will focus on the development of combines in the crop processing area. Working alongside the international team, you will be responsible for designing and developing moderately complex structures and sheet metal components, ensuring they meet stringent performance, durability, quality, and serviceability standards. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be key to optimizing designs for production while ensuring alignment with the broader project goals. 

 

Your Impact: 

  • 3-D and 2-D designing and development of parts, assemblies and mechanism using variety of materials and fabrication technologies 

  • Creation of detailed production-quality fabrication drawings, design documentation, and assembly drawings for new and existing parts and ultimately manage engineering changes ECR-ECN (EPDM or similar tools preferred) 

  • Participate in design reviews with cross-functional teams (Quality, Manufacturing, Purchasing, etc.).  

  • Collaborate on project schedules and budgets, ensuring timely delivery.  

  • Contribute to product validation and testing activities. 

 

Your Experience and Qualifications: 

  • Diploma Perito, Bachelor’s, or master's degree in mechanical engineering. 3–5 years of experience in mechanical engineering. Background in agricultural machinery and equipment is required. Proficient in 3-D and 2-D modeling (ProE preferred) and MS Office tools. Skilled in drawing layouts and GD&T methodology. 

  • Extensive experience in designing and developing Sheet metal, castings, fabricated steel structures and mechanisms including welded and bolted assemblies. 

  • Knowledge of material properties, manufacturing techniques (Design for Manufacturing), failure and Root Cause analysis, inspection techniques, coatings, and fasteners. Ability to justify design decisions with calculations, analysis and written documentation 

  • Understanding of crop flow mechanics, finite element analysis, DEM, CFD tools, and linkages. Proficiency in designing and specifying sheaves, belts, and bearings. Strong and pragmatic problem-solving skills with a positive and collaborative attitude. Fluent in English (spoken and written) Italian mother tongue 

  • Willingness to participate in field test activities, investigate concerns, identify resolutions, and report results, primarily within European countries. Availability for occasional international travel to Europe, the United States, and Brazil.

Your Workplace:
