The Global Fuse Sales Engineer (SE) will report to the Fuse Global Training Manager and specialize in Precision Farming Technology products and services for AGCO's global dealer distribution network and its core brands. The incumbent must possess technical skills to explain the benefits of Fuse Technologies and Fuse Connected Services to internal and external customers, and show how the AGCO Fuse portfolio is better than our competitors' offerings. The Fuse SE helps develop and deliver technical presentations during which they explain all market relevant aspects of the product and how it will solve a specific customer problem. The Fuse SE must also serve as a Subject Matter Expert for all existing Fuse Technologies and Fuse Connected Services deployed to the market. The stakeholder group for this role will include (as assigned) internal AGCO personnel, AGCO field staff, Dealer staff, and end-Customers.

The Global Fuse Sales Engineer responsibilities are categorized into three main areas of focus: (1) Subject matter expert (SME) for Fuse products and support, (2) Marketing Support and Market Research, and (3) Training and Communications documentation and distribution.

SME for Fuse product and support: Fuse and the AGCO brands provide various dealer and customer facing support centers with a focus on brand, market, or country. The Fuse SE must be skilled, comfortable, and experienced with receiving and placing support calls from and with customers, dealers, and AGCO field personnel for the purpose of educating, advising, and escalating operational questions and inquiries. In this Customer Support role, the Fuse SE must strictly adhere to the established support models and protocols defined for the product, brand, market, or country. Approximately 30% of the SE's time will be dedicated to this role.

Marketing Support and Market Research: As part of the Global Fuse cross-functional team, the Fuse SE will be expected to support assigned project work related to developing marketing collateral, value propositions, sales tools, and market research. The Fuse SE will also occasionally be involved with requirements gathering and Voice of Customer activities. Approximately 30% of the SE's time will be dedicated to this role.

Training and Communications documentation and distribution: The Fuse SE will primarily be responsible for content creation as a deliverable to in-flight Global Fuse projects and follow proper distribution methods and channels to support Commercial/Sales Training, Technical/Service Training, and Support Bulletin communications. Approximately 40% of the SE's time will be dedicated to this role.




As part of the Global Fuse Business Support and Training team, The Global Fuse Sales Engineer will execute the following:

(1) Provide Customer support for existing Fuse Technologies and Fuse Connected Services.
(2) Prepare and deliver sales and/or technical presentations explaining products or services to employees, dealers, customers and prospective customers.
(3) Confer with dealers, customers, and project stakeholders to assess product needs and to refine requirements.
(4) Collaborate with regional sales and service teams to understand dealer and customer requirements and provide pre- and post-sales support.
(5) Evaluate and recommend product improvements to meet customers needs.
(6) Help AGCO customers solve problems with purchased Fuse Technologies and Fuse Connected Services.
(7) Identify and recommend improved customer value propositions, showing how changes will lower costs or increase production.
(8) Help product management in researching and defining new products and services.




Technology skills: Fuse Sales Engineers must have extensive knowledge of the sophisticated products AGCO offers, the Agricultural Industry, and Market segmentations. Experience developing marketing, sales training and technical training content is required.
Problem solving skills: Fuse Sales Engineers must be able to listen and clearly understand customer desires and concerns, and then recommend solutions, possibly including customizing a product or service experience within the defined parameters.
Self-confidence: Fuse Sales Engineers should be self motivated and confident to maintain credibility and  deliver persuasive sales and/or technical presentations.
Interpersonal skills: Strong interpersonal skills are a required characteristic for Fuse Sales Engineers, both for building relationships with AGCO dealers and customers, but also effectively communicating with all members of the AGCO team.




Bachelor's Degree




Preferred: Customer Service accreditation, Salesforce Service Cloud experience, Agricultural Engineering background, Web development or API support experience (Cloud solutions, SaaS, HTML5, Mobile Apps, or Business Analyst experience, etc.), Bi-lingual or multi-lingual (German, French, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, English). Required: Precision Farming or Agronomic degree, certificate, or advanced training. Practical Ag Dealership or Farming experience.
