Aftermarket Purchasing is a critical role within AGCO. This procurement initiative aimed at accelerating sourcing decisions and RONA utilizing the installed supply base through AGCO's global commodity strategies. The primary focus of this position is to identify and develop a strong and sustainable, best-fit supply base in alignment with global commodity strategies , working closely with the Global Commodity Managers to develop the savings pipeline for the following year(s) and drive identified savings initiatives towards on time implementation, following the Sourcing / Resourcing Process. He / She will lead AGCOs commercial relationship with our European supplier base to ensure continuous productivity to maintain their competitive advantage The Regional Commodity Buyer, Parts Purchasing will work with our installed supplier base by establishing contracts and ensuring cost effective supply. Within the context of the supply, the position holder will work with our supply base to maximize AGCO IFO and RONA contribution through strategic sourcing, negotiation and Cost Management. He / She must ensure that prices are adjusted based on raw material and currency fluctuations.

 

Your Impact

  • Optimize costs while meeting Engineering and Product Management specifications/requirements
  • Identify and develop suppliers in Europe consisten with our Global Commodities
  • Ensure consistent supply to AGCO operations
  • Ensure enterprise-wide supply base and implementing a strategy for Europe sourcing
  • Review commodity opportunities with individual Commodity Managers

 

Your Experience and Qualifications

  • Desirable business experience of 3-8 years in a purchasing and/or purchasing-related role; preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft office suite software including Excel, Word and PowerPoint; MS Project experience is an advantage
  • Must have experience of using SAP methodology
  • Experience in usage of ERP systems is preferred
  • Fluent written and spoken English. In addition French, German, and / or Portuguese would be an advantage
