The Category Buyer for North America will assist in driving the development and implementation of AGCO’s Global Professional Services category strategy resulting in best-in-class quality, delivery, and total cost of ownership. The Category Buyer also supports Category Managers both Global and Regional through RFQ execution, negotiations, market analysis, strategy development, contract management and data gathering and analysis. Success measured is based on spend addressed, value delivered, and overall service to stakeholders.
Your Impact

Accountable for savings target execution for Professional Services categories in North American region including Consulting, Legal, Financial Services, Corporate Insurance, Translation services, Business Process Outsourcing and Subcontracting services, Memberships

Supplier Management: Identify, qualify, and manage supplier relationships, including performance evaluations and contract negotiations.

Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations in NA region to secure favorable terms, pricing, and conditions; Cost Optimization: Drive initiatives for cost reduction and process improvements.

Responsible for RFx preparation, execution, and analysis. For commodities in scope develop, and/or assist Category Managers execute long-term strategy deployment, supplier cost modeling, supplier opportunity assessments, supplier financial analysis, make/buy analyses, negotiations, long-term contract establishment, continuous supplier performance improvement, and supplier relationship development.

Assist the Category Managers in successfully contracting suppliers to provide AGCO with cost-optimized commodities. Develop a solid working knowledge of certain category trends including industry trends, cost drivers. Manages priorities and competing demands, with a sense of optimism, flexibility, and ownership, effectively managing internal customer expectations including special projects
Your Experience and Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Related Field

Minimum 2 years of prior experience in procurement is a must, preferably in services categories. Knowledge of Purchase-to-Pay process

Excellent negotiation skills with external suppliers. Action and results driven and be able to work independently. Team player and like working in a multicultural environment.

Always looking for improvements, being able to drive change and motivate other people. Strong analytical and influencing skills. Good knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.

Excellent communications skills in English, other languages are an asset
