Job Summary:

The SAP Analyst is an integral part of the SAP ERP team. This individual possesses deep knowledge of SAP and is responsible for definition and configuration of solutions within the assigned SAP module, site deployment of the Global template following the ASAP methodology, enhancement of the template as required, production support and ongoing maintenance of the assigned module within the SAP system, This position works closely with the Sr. SAP Analyst, to deliver the highest quality business solutions based in the SAP ERP system. This position is a critical element of the AGCO global solutions in a SAP operating environment and responsibilities will include design, configuration, testing, and documentation. The role ensures adherence to SAP leading practices and ensures business value is delivered in accordance with business transformation objectives. This individual collaborates with business super-users, and is an advocate for the SAP system.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for collaborating with key business resources on requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, user acceptance, implementation, and documentation.
  • Understand and translate business concepts to executable functional designs; ensure functional designs are executed as a viable solution to the business concept; ensuring module solution aligns and is compatible with overall architecture
  • Serve as a global system capabilities expert on the assigned module as enabled in the SAP template, lead the process analysis and redesign, gap analysis and SAP template change management exercises in support of the global implementation and harmonization of the defined function.
  • Work with other SAP Analysts to understand integration points within SAP and other systems, grasp the impact of proposed system changes. Provide guidance on integration with other SAP modules and subsidiary solutions.
  • Lead the root cause analysis of and design solutions for problems in the assigned SAP module, and follow the appropriate change control procedures including the creation and ownership of functional specifications, and testing documentation. As appropriate, execute the solution in the assigned SAP module
  • Execute configuration of the SAP system for the assigned module
  • Develop and keep updated, functional design documents and testing scripts insuring scripts are aligned with current system design and business practices
  • Coordinates testing of released objects to insure quality solution is being implemented.
  • Facilitate / lead module specific workshops during site deployments.  Be the advocate of the template solution for the assigned module; being a positive stimulus in the change management process and adoption of the new system.
  • Capable of assisting and/or leading training on assigned module
  • Ability to meet travel requirements.  Up to 50%.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

 

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree is required
  • Must have deep SAP experience, 5+ hands on configuration of 2 or more SAP modules; multiple industries a plus
  • Participate in at least two (2) full cycle global implementations with some module leadership experience
  • Expert in single module with some cross module expertise
  • Experience utilizing SAP ASAP or similar SAP implementation methodology is preferred
  • Implementation experience in discrete manufacturing and/or heavy equipment manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated experience in facilitating workshops and blueprinting for smaller or single site projects
  • Experience in preparing test cases, execution of tests in HP Quality Center preferred
  • SAP certification in defined module(s) is preferred. Personal commitment and development plan to achieve SAP certification in defined module(s) is required. 
  • Ability to read and interpret complex business and/or technical documents.
  • Ability to write comprehensive reports and detailed business correspondence.
  • Ability to work with managers and communicate ambiguous concepts.
  • Ability to present to groups across the organization. 
  • Fluent in English
