Under the Senior Manager, Indirect Purchasing Global CAPEX, in close collaboration with the Regional Manufacturing Engineering Leads and the local Manufacturing Engineers in the factories, and the Leaders of the Manufacturing Excellence Centers, you will be responsible to:    

Manage a Team of 2-3 EME regional Capex Procurement managers / buyers    

Define the Goals of the Team, including    

RONA – Return on Net Asset: negotiation performance and achieve better than the target prices while ensuring compliance to the Procurement Rules.    

Employee engagement & AGCO Cultural Beliefs: develop the highly cooperative, multi-functional and multi-cultural team.    

Farmer First: Support the stakeholders in the control of the Suppliers to provide the equipment inside the purchase value (manage costs-up requests during the project), on time of delivery and Acceptance, and support until warranty ends.    

Supplier Relationship Management.    

Support the TEAM to achieve, by possibly Bundling Technologies and Purchase volumes between Regions and Sites, take the lead in the negotiation when needed. Identify the negotiation Lever and negotiation strategies with a supplier.    

Prevent and Manage Conflict Resolution between AGCO and Suppliers, in the course of the project or even when the equipment is in operation.    

Support and lead when needed the negotiation of the Contractual Terms     

Support Improvement of the Procurement Processes and possible automation 

 

Your Impact: 

  • Collaborate to determine Strategic Direction for Manufacturing Processes and Equipment, across the AGCO factories in a view to Bundle Technologies and allow for the principle “Design Anywhere, Build Anywhere”     
  • Guide / Lead in setting up the Project Requirements and Standardize the Technical Specifications in compliance with the Procurement Process and Agree on Quoting Suppliers.     
  • Ensure fair and open competition between preselected key suppliers and possibly new challengers, and if necessary, challenge the technical teams.     
  • Drive in setting a Negotiation Target based on CER approved values, Benchmark of Supplier’s quotes based on aligned scope and standard cost breakdowns, benchmark of previous prices, understanding of the current Market situation,      
  • Guide / Lead actual negotiations for the larger projects.     
  • Develop mid-term Supplier Partnering and ensure the Supplier Relationship Management.     
  • The area covers Manufacturing sites in EME as well as Spare Parts Warehouses, and other area of the Business, except Corporate Digital Technology 

 

Your Experience and Qualification: 

  • University degree in Commercial Engineering (Bachelor/Master) or equivalent.   
  • Over 5 years of hands-on work experience in CAPEX Procurement in a large conglomerate, ideally combined with experiences in Contract Negotiation and sound understanding of the technical scope of a project.   
  • Deep demonstrable knowledge in CAPEX and Contracts Negotiations and willing to enlarge the experience to all types of processes used in Agricultural Machinery Manufacturing (Fabrication, Resin, Machining, Heat Treatment, Painting, Assembly, QA Testing,).  
  • Fluent English (other languages are a plus). Proven track record of cross-functional project management, ideally in different regions of the Globe.   
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to communicate at all levels in a cross functional, multicultural organization. Travel is required based on projects.

AGCO Shared Service Center (SSC) is located at Office Garden in the 11th district, in one of the most dynamically developing areas of Budapest providing global support to all AGCO global factories and sites in Finance, HR, IT, Purchasing, Customer Experience and Engineering functions.
