Senior Accountant, Distribution

The Distribution Accounting Team is part of the R2R organization in our Shared Service center in Budapest. The Distribution Accounting Team is responsible for the relevant transactions of wholegoods accounting and reporting. The Senior Distribution Accountant is responsible for completing the relevant month-end close tasks and work closely together with the Agco's brands on standard tasks and ad-hoc projects. 

Your Impact: 

• Manage inventory and wholegoods accounting activities, including reserve calculations, allocations, and intercompany stock profit eliminations, along with balance sheet reconciliations. 

• Participate in monthly reviews with Brand Controllers, respond to month‑end queries, and support annual wholegoods stock counts. 

• Contribute to various ad‑hoc projects such as telemetry revenue/cost accounting and outbound freight cost accounting, while preparing and supporting revenue‑recognition testing. 

• Prepare documentation for FASS/KPMG PBC lists, ensure adherence to SOX policies, and provide support for internal and external audits. 

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the organization to enhance efficiency and accuracy. 

Your Experience and Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field. 

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience. 

• Practical experience in inventory accounting and reporting, preferably within a manufacturing environment. 

• Strong SAP skills and advanced proficiency in Excel. 

• Experience in margin analysis, standard cost calculation and reporting, and variance analysis is a strong advantage.
