The Senior Finance Manager – RTR & Accounting Services is responsible for leading a significant portion of the EME Record-to-Report (RTR) organization from the Budapest Shared Services Center, with accountability for Accounting Services and Distribution Accounting activities across more than 25 legal entities. The role oversees a large, diverse finance team and is accountable for delivering accurate, compliant, and timely financial reporting while ensuring operational excellence, robust internal controls, and continuous process improvement across the region.
The position serves as a key finance leader within the SSC, partnering closely with Finance teams across the UK, Germany, France, Finland, and other EME locations, while collaborating extensively with Shared Services functions including Accounts Payable, Master Data, Purchasing, and IT. The incumbent drives standardization, automation, efficiency improvements, and cost optimization initiatives while maintaining the highest standards of financial integrity, governance, and compliance. The role aligns closely with Accounting Generalist, General Accounting, and Financial Reporting leadership responsibilities within AGCO's Global Job Architecture.
Your Impact:

Lead and govern RTR operations across 25+ legal entities within the EME region, overseeing Accounting Services and Distribution Accounting processes, ensuring timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, approving accounting transactions, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting outputs, while maintaining balance sheet integrity and a strong financial control environment to safeguard company assets and minimize risk.

Ensure compliance, statutory reporting, and audit readiness by adhering to company accounting policies, IFRS/local GAAP requirements, internal controls, and AGCO corporate governance standards; coordinating internal and external audits; acting as the primary liaison with auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies; ensuring all legal, tax, and statutory reporting deadlines are met; and driving remediation of audit findings.

Lead, develop, and manage a high-performing team of 20+ finance professionals, establishing clear objectives, performance expectations, and development plans, while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous learning, and customer service excellence, and driving workforce planning, succession planning, talent development, and organizational change initiatives.

Act as the key finance business partner for supported EME entities, collaborating with Controllers, Finance Directors, Tax, Treasury, FP&A, and operational leaders; managing Service Level Agreements (SLAs); building strong partnerships across SSC functions including Accounts Payable, Purchasing, Master Data, and IT; and influencing stakeholders to adopt standardized finance processes and best practices.

Drive continuous improvement, transformation, and operational excellence across regional finance operations, interpreting financial results to identify corrective actions and process enhancement opportunities; leading automation, simplification, standardization, cost reduction, KPI monitoring, process optimization, finance transformation programs, system enhancements, and the implementation of best practices across accounting and shared services functions.
Your Experience and Qualification:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration (required) & Master's Degree preferred

ACCA, CPA, CIMA, Chartered Accountant, or equivalent professional qualification preferred

15+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience with Significant RTR or General Ledger leadership experience

Experience operating within a Shared Services or Global Business Services environment, supporting multiple legal entities and international operations. Proven people leadership experience managing large finance teams. Strong IFRS and statutory accounting knowledge

Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred). Advanced Microsoft Excel and reporting tools. Strong understanding of internal control frameworks and audit requirements

This role follows AGCO’s onsite work model, with employees primarily working from an AGCO location a minimum of 2 days per week to support collaboration and teamwork.
AGCO Shared Service Center (SSC) is located at Office Garden in the 11th district, in one of the most dynamically developing areas of Budapest providing global support to all AGCO global factories and sites in Finance, HR, IT, Purchasing, Customer Experience and Engineering functions. The office is easily accessible by car and public transport. Restaurants, cafés, and shopping centers are also located around the office.
