The Senior Developer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining scalable, secure, and high-quality software solutions across enterprise applications and digital platforms. Working with minimal guidance, they translate business and technical requirements into effective solutions that align with architectural, security, and operational standards. They leverage expertise in software engineering, cloud technologies, DevOps, system integration, and application lifecycle management to drive successful delivery. The role may lead development activities within projects and continuous improvement initiatives. Senior Developers also mentor junior team members, support code reviews, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable and efficient solutions. Additionally, they use AI-assisted development tools responsibly to enhance productivity, quality, and delivery outcomes while safeguarding data security and privacy.  

Your Impact:  

• Design, develop, test, deploy, optimize, and maintain frontend solutions for the CEP platform using React, TypeScript, and modern web technologies.  

• Translate business, product, functional, security, and operational requirements into scalable, secure, maintainable, and well-documented frontend implementations.  

• Integrate frontend applications with APIs and backend services, ensuring reliable data flow, performance, usability, accessibility, and operational readiness.  

• Lead defined frontend development work packages, support technical decision-making, participate in estimation, code reviews, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities.  

• Collaborate with product owners, architects, QA, security, operations, and vendor teams while mentoring less experienced developers and contributing to engineering standards and best practices.  

Your Experience and Qualification:  

• 6–8 years of relevant software development experience, with strong frontend development expertise using React and modern web technologies.  

• Proven experience designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and optimizing scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions for complex business or digital platform environments.  

• Strong working knowledge of software engineering practices, including APIs, integration patterns, source control, automated testing, CI/CD, code reviews, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.  

• Ability to work independently, lead defined technical work packages, support technical decision-making, and collaborate effectively with product, architecture, QA, security, operations, and vendor teams.  

• Strong written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to document technical decisions and communicate clearly in a global, cross-functional environment.

Your Workplace:  

This role follows AGCO’s onsite work model, with employees primarily working from an AGCO location for a minimum of 2 days per week to support collaboration and teamwork.  

AGCO Shared Service Center (SSC) is located at Office Garden in the 11th district, in one of the most dynamically developing areas of Budapest providing global support to all AGCO global factories and sites in Finance, HR, IT, Purchasing, Customer Experience and Engineering functions. The office is easily accessible by car and public transport. Restaurants, cafés, and shopping centers are also located around the office.
