The Field Support Manager is responsible for delivering exceptional customer experience by providing advanced technical support to dealers and end-users of the PTx product line.  This role will collaborate with R&D in assisting with new product launches. This role will also lead dealer training, assist at trade shows, and create PTx publications. This role will coordinate with Product Support to make field visits when required.

 

Your Impact

  • Provide technical support by fielding calls from growers and dealers during office hours and after‑hours rotation, responding to inquiries and call‑back requests placed on the online ticket system, and supporting customers in‑field with issues that cannot be resolved remotely.
  • Conduct on-site service calls to dealer and customer locations when issues exceed dealer capabilities, as well as conducting on-site training events and assisting or occasionally presenting at Planter Technology Institution events.
  • Create, edit, and generate content for technical publications including operator and installation manuals, technical and service bulletins, knowledge base articles, and product instructions, while also leading breakout sessions of both introductory and advanced dealer training.
  • Communicate issues and future needs to the R&D team for current and future products, collaborate with R&D during go‑to‑market processes to ensure successful product launches, and compile, analyze, and report on test plot and field data to support marketing and product research.
  • Set up, tear down, and staff show booths at regional and national trade shows, rebuild and maintain planters used for trade shows, testing, and training—including installation of all products—and deliver projects focused on customer experience, process improvement, and training effectiveness.

 

Your Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Systems Technology, Agronomy, 3+ years of industry experience supporting Precision Ag equipment or 5+ years related industry product support experience and familiarity in agriculture
  • Strong writing and editing skills, evidence of “creativity”; ability to communicate and present to large groups and strong problem-solving skills
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license, maintain a clean driving record and be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check and company-administered vehicle operator assessment.
  • Will be required to operate a company-owned vehicle for regular field visits; safe and responsible driving is essential.
  • Must adhere to all company and state vehicle operation policies and procedures.

The professional will operate in Argentina (field-based). The role requires regular travel to dealerships and customer sites wihin the region and AGCO Argentina is located in General Rodriguez, Argentina.
