Shipping Coordinator

Job Summary:

What You Will Do

• Oversee shipping processes, including the preparation of Shipping Documentation, Shipping Instructions, Scheduling, and other shipping-related matters to ensure the punctual delivery and customs clearance of goods.
• Initiate booking requests and coordinate sailing schedules, transit times, and related logistics with shipping lines, forwarding agents, courier services, and transport providers.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external service providers to ensure smooth operations.
• Ensure strict adherence to customer's shipping instructions and the meticulous preparation of all export shipping documents to meet regulatory requirements.
• Liaise and coordinate load-out schedules with warehouse teams and external contractors to guarantee on-time and accurate product loading and receiving.
• Work closely with hauliers to arrange container logistics.
• Act as the point of contact with banks, government bodies, Chambers of Commerce, and shipping agents to facilitate the compilation and timely receipt of all shipping documents.
• Search for and compare the most cost-effective freight options that meet both customer and company need.
• Maintain the records, including filing K1, K2, and shipping documents.
• Collaborate with the Manager to assist in the application of Free Trade Agreements (FTA) in costing procedures.
• Verify invoices from forwarders, haulage companies, and shipping firms after shipment completion.
• Address customer inquiries and specific shipping documentation needs related to exports, including drop shipments from overseas.

What You Will Bring

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in supply chain / business administration / logistics or equivalent.
• Fresh graduate and/or candidate with at least 1 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Candidates with demonstrated expertise in LC documentation, including a solid understanding of UCP600.
• Ability on meticulous shipment preparation and documentation, exceptional time management skills are essential.
• Ability on multitasking, and effective communication skills.
• A basic understanding of industry-standard software, such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, Microsoft Excel & Microsoft word is advantageous.
• Ability to apply excellent functional computer knowledge in utilizing Microsoft Office applications.
• Applicants must be willing to work in Bukit Minyak Industrial Park.
