Job Summary:
The incumbent is responsible to to meticulously focus on and monitor daily outbound & inbound activities, overseeing the movement of goods and materials across international borders. The core purpose is to efficiently coordinate all aspects of shipping-related activities, addressing and resolving customer inquiries pertaining to shipping matters as below: (i) Export Documentation: Prepare and ensure the accuracy of all export shipping documents, including invoices, Free Trade Agreement (FTA) forms, certificates of origin, fumigation/heat treatment certificates, Bills of Lading, and other relevant export documentation. (ii) Monthly Shipment Reporting: Compile and generate monthly outward shipment reports, offering essential insights into shipping activities.. |
What You Will Do
- Oversee shipping processes, including the preparation of Shipping Documentation, Shipping Instructions, Scheduling, and other shipping-related matters to ensure the punctual delivery and customs clearance of goods.
- Initiate booking requests and coordinate sailing schedules, transit times, and related logistics with shipping lines, forwarding agents, courier services, and transport providers.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external service providers to ensure smooth operations.
- Ensure strict adherence to customer's shipping instructions and the meticulous preparation of all export shipping documents to meet regulatory requirements.
- Liaise and coordinate load-out schedules with warehouse teams and external contractors to guarantee on-time and accurate product loading and receiving.
- Work closely with hauliers to arrange container logistics.
- Act as the point of contact with banks, government bodies, Chambers of Commerce, and shipping agents to facilitate the compilation and timely receipt of all shipping documents.
- Search for and compare the most cost-effective freight options that meet both customer and company need.
- Maintain the records, including filing K1, K2, and shipping documents.
- Collaborate with the Manager to assist in the application of Free Trade Agreements (FTA) in costing procedures.
- Verify invoices from forwarders, haulage companies, and shipping firms after shipment completion.
- Address customer inquiries and specific shipping documentation needs related to exports, including drop shipments from overseas.
What You Will Bring
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in supply chain / business administration / logistics or equivalent.
- Fresh graduate and/or candidate with at least 1 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Candidates with demonstrated expertise in LC documentation, including a solid understanding of UCP600.
- Ability on meticulous shipment preparation and documentation, exceptional time management skills are essential.
- Ability on multitasking, and effective communication skills.
- A basic understanding of industry-standard software, such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, Microsoft Excel & Microsoft word is advantageous.
- Ability to apply excellent functional computer knowledge in utilizing Microsoft Office applications.
- Applicants must be willing to work in Bukit Minyak Industrial Park.
