Role Summary

The Homologation Engineer is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance and securing certifications for new vehicle and machinery models for Brazil and supporting for activities for other countries in South America, spearheaded by registering new models with IdAgro (Renagro) and obtaining LCVM (Licença para Uso da Configuração de Veículo ou Motor) certifications for self propeled machinery developed by Product Engineering, as well as managing LCVM exemptions for importing new prototypes.

This role ensures strict machine conformity with Brazilian and South American standards, specifically NR12 and NR31, while providing cross-functional compliance support for global markets including Europe, North America, and Africa when necessary. Serving as a direct technical advisor, the engineer assists the Product Engineering team in identifying regulatory requirements and interpreting various ISO standards, while also managing ANATEL telecommunications certifications for applicable product components.

Key Responsibilities

  • Key responsibilities include managing the end-to-end registration of new models within the IdAgro (Renagro) platform and securing Brazil's LCVM certifications for newly developed self propeled machinery, alongside obtaining regulatory exemptions for prototype imports.
  • The role involves auditing product designs to guarantee strict machine compliance with South American and Brazilian safety standards—particularly NR12 and NR31—while extending regulatory guidance to global markets such as Europe, North America, and Africa as needed.
  • Additionally, this position acts as a direct consultative partner to Product Engineering by interpreting complex ISO standards and identifying safety requirements, while also coordinating the ANATEL certification process for telemetry and wireless product components.

 

Key Skills and Competencies

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Production or Electrical;
  • Basic knowledge in regulatory affairs and product homologation within the heavy machinery or automotive sectors.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret complex ISO standards;
  • The ability to provide cross-functional compliance support for global markets (such as North America, Europe, and Africa);
  • Proficiency in English to comfortably interface with international technical documentation and teams.
  • A postgraduate degree is considered an advantage.
