The Sr. Manager Global ME Standards will play a critical role in supporting the global MEC (Manufacturing Expert Circle) as well as all regional/global production sites in close collaboration with Global CAPEX Procurement department by standardizing/harmonizing machine and process specifications. This role aims to leverage best practices in the manufacturing network, better pricing and improve response times from suppliers, ensuring that our manufacturing processes are efficient, cost-effective, and aligned with industry standards. The role further supports the definition process for AGCO’s core manufacturing technologies and processes in close collaboration with the regional and global ME leads alongside the product roadmap of AGCO (e.g. phase in and out of technical equipment and processes from the standards)
The position will report to Director ME EME as an interim while global team undergoes restructuring.
Your Impact
Goals for the Team, including:
o RONA – Return on Net Asset : Technical support to sites as well as Global CAPEX Procurement in defining best processes/technologies, finding synergies and potentially combining solutions under one supplier (leverage on negotiation)
o Employee engagement & AGCO Cultural Beliefs: Develop a highly cooperative, multi-functional and multicultural team.
o Farmer First: Support the stakeholders in the control of the suppliers to provide the equipment within the purchase value (manage technical change management in collaboration with procurement), on time delivery and Acceptance, and support until warranty ends.
o Supplier Relationship Management.
• Standardization of Machine Specifications: Develop and implement standardized machine specifications in collaboration with the procurement and production teams.
• Supplier Collaboration: Work closely with suppliers to understand their capabilities and constraints, ensuring that machine specifications are optimized for cost and performance.
• Cost Analysis: Conduct detailed cost analysis to identify opportunities for cost savings and support negotiations to achieve better pricing with suppliers and/or agreements such as spare parts, extended warranties, etc..
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the procurement and manufacturing processes (e.g. identify, develop and maintain preferred suppliers due to global market representations, faster response time, technical capabilities and flexibility in customizing (if needed)).
• Technical Support: Provide technical support to the site team and procurement team during supplier negotiations and contract discussions.
• Market Research: Stay updated with the latest market trends and technologies to ensure that machine specifications are current and competitive as well as in line with AGCO’s defined core technologies
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of machine specifications, supplier agreements, and cost analyses. Make those accessible for all sites and maintain those with feedback loops from regional and global ME council.
• The area of responsibility covers manufacturing sites in NA, SA, EME and APA as well as Spare Centers. Other areas might be assigned on a project basis based on need.
Your Experiences and Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
• Around 8-10 years of experience in manufacturing engineering. Having experience with supplier relationships is a plus.
• Proficient fluency in English with high knowledge in technical terms and contractual content, other languages in addition are beneficial like German.
• Availability to travel often (national and international travels)
Skills:
• Strong leadership skills with ability to communicate at all levels in a cross functional, multicultural organization. Travelling required based on projects.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and machine specifications.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Excellent project management skills. Ideally proven track record in managing bigger (>5M USD) technology process projects (e.g. paint processes, value stream set-up) in the lead
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in cost analysis and process improvement methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., CAD, ERP systems).

This position will be based on Brazil/Mogi das Cruzes preferably. The work format is hybrid with the occurence of travels.
